Spitfires blowout Brampton in game 1

Game 1 of the OHL championship couldn’t have gone worse for the Brampton Battallion, who lost 10-1 in Windsor last night. Justin Shugg fired home three goals for Windsor, giving them a 1-0 lead on the championship
Hitmen and Rockets to face off in WHL Championship

The Calgary Hitmn and the Kelowna Rockets will be facing off in the WHL championship this year, for the first time ever. The Hitmen are on a 12 game winning streak, the Rockets downed the Vancouver Giants in 6 games. The series starts on Friday, May 1st.

Shawnigan and Drummondville will face off in the QMJHL championship today.

Every single CHL matchup could be decided tonight, when the Rockets play the Giants. The Rockets saw a successful game 5 when Markguggenberger shut out the Vancouver Giants on home ice, Ryley Grantham had the only goal in the game, making them one game away.

The Brampton Battallion are on their way to the OHL championship with a 7-4 win over the Belleville Bulls. Matt Duchene scored 3 goals, and captain Cody Hodgson scored 2 goals in the win. The Battallion will play Windsor in the finals.
QMJHL
Shawnigan beat Quebec 6-1 to set the matchups for the QMJHL championships, they will play Drummondville.
Rockets tie series at two, Belleville stays alive

The Kelowna Rockets evened up their series at 2-2 with a 3-0 win over the Vancouver Giants. Jamie Benn scored twice in the win, and Mark Guggenberger stopped all 14 shots he faced.
OHL
The Belleville Bulls are still alive with a 3-2 win over the Brampton Battallion in game 5. Nick Palmieri scored in the 2nd overtime to give the Bulls the big win. The Bulls are still down 3-2 and the Battallion will have a chance to win the series at home in game 6.
Hitmen win Eastern Conference Championship

The Calgary Hitmen beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-4 four to propell themselves to the WHL final. The Hitmen have won 12 straight, and swept 3 straight. NHL prospect Brett Sonne scored the winner, in front of a hostile Brandon croud. The Hitmen now await the winner of the Kelowna-Vancouver series.

The Windsor Spitfires are headed to the OHL championship to play either Brampton or Belleville, as they won 4-3 in overtime. This marks the fifth overtime in five games. Eric Wellwood scored the winner in overtime.
QMJHL
Shawnigan beat Quebec 5-4 to give themselves a 3-1 lead. e. Drummondville beat Rimouski 7-2 to complete the sweep and send themselves to the finals.

Ian Shultz scored in the first overtime of game 3 to give the Calgary Hitmen a 3-0 series lead over the Brandon Wheat Kings. This marks the 11th straight playoff win for the Hitmen, and the Wheat Kings 3rd straight loss.
The Vancouver Giants beat the Kelowna Rockets by a score of 3-2, to take a 2-1 series lead. Lance Bourma scored the winner late in the 3rd period.
OHL

The Brampton Battallion once again beat the Belleville bulls, taking a 3-1 lead in the series. The Battallion scored 3 goals in the 3rd period, the winner coming from Scott Tanski, who also had two goals tonight in the 4-3 Brampton win.
QMJHL
Drummondville took a 3-0 series lead on Rimouski,with a 6-4 win. And Shawnigan beat Quebec to take a 2-1 series lead.
Spitfires beat Knights in 4th OT in 4 games, take 3-1 series lead.

The Windsor Spitfires have won 3 out of four overtime games to take 3-1 series lead in the conference final. The Spitfires can go back to Windsor and win the series on home ice.

The Windsor Spitfires defeated the London Knights 5-4 in OT to take a 2-1 series lead, Eric Wellwood scored 8:52 into overtime. The two teams face off again today.
The Belleville Bulls got one game closer to tying their series with the Brampton Battallion, with a 6-2 win. This has been a series that has been dominated by one team or the other.
The Vancouver Giants defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-3, evening up their series at 1 game a piece. Casey Pierro-Zabotel got the winner 19:25 into the first overtime.
The Calgary Hitmen won their 9th straight playoff game, but pulled it out as their third straight game 2 one goal game over the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Drummondville defeated the memorial cup hosts Rimouski to take a 2-0 lead on their conference final.
